I am a Chemical Engineering Ph.D. student at the University of Wisconsin-Madison; my research aims to understand better the underlying physics (transport phenomena) of polyolefin pyrolysis. Plastic has a low thermal conductivity, meaning the existing continuous reactor systems may not be suitable for this chemistry.
